HP’s Spectre x360 is one of the best laptops you can buy today, featuring a premium design and high-end specs. The lineup has been growing, now encompassing four sizes: 13-, 14-, 15-, and 16-inch, but they’re all fantastic devices whether you want the versatility of a convertible or just a great PC to power your desktop setup. But if you want a great desktop setup, you’ll need to pair the Spectre x360 with a great monitor. We’re here to help, and we’ve rounded up some of the best monitors you can buy.
The Spectre x360 laptops are all powered by Intel’s 11th-generation processors, and they support Thunderbolt 4. In fact, the 13-inch and 14-inch Spectre x360 models don’t have HDMI ports built-in, so you’ll either need a Thunderbolt/USB-C monitor or an adapter that lets you connect via HDMI. We have both kinds of options here, so let’s get right into it.

The Samsung Smart Monitor M7 is a very sharp 4K monitor for your Spectre x360, but it's more than that. It's similar to a smart TV, so you can watch shows and remotely access productivity apps even without a PC. Plus, it connects via USB-C, so no adapters are required.

Want a cheap option that's still sharp and great for multitasking? This LG monitor is a great cheap complement to any laptop if you want something affordable. It's fairly basic otherwise, and you'll need an adapter since it only supports HDMI or DisplayPort input.

The HP U28 has a factory-calibrated 4K HDR IPS panel that looks great whether you're working or watching movies. It connects via USB-C and not only does it serve as a USB hub with three Type-A ports, but it also supports 65W charging for your Spectre x360.
-
The LG 29-inch ultrawide monitor is a great option for users that like to multitask a lot. It comes with a 29-inch wide IPS panel offering a Full HD (2560 x 1080) resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut, HDR10, and AMD FreeSync. On top of all that, it's affordable and connects via USB-C.

If you want something that takes advantage of the Thunderbolt ports on the Spectre x360, this 4K Dell monitor is for you. Not only is it super sharp, it has a built-in colorimeter to ensure it's always color accurate, plus it includes a hood to block external light. Plus, it supports Thunderbolt, including daisy-chaining and 90W power delivery.
-
Need to travel but can't live without a dual-monitor setup? The ASUS ZenScreen MB16ACE is a portable monitor that you can easily connect to your Spectre x360 with just a USB Type-C cable. It has Full HD resolution and you can use it in both landscape and portrait orientations with the included kickstand, which is also a case.
-
For serious multitaskers, the LG 35WN75C-B is a large ultrawide monitor with sharp Quad HD resolution, giving you an amazing desk setup with just one screen, It supports HDR10 and covers 100% of sRGB, but most importantly, it connects with a single USB-C cable, and it can deliver 94W of power to your laptop.
-
Do you love a screen that has almost no visible bezels? This cheap Full HD monitor might be for you. It's relatively basic, but it's decently sharp, it supports AMD FreeSync, you can tilt the screen, and the bezels are really small on the sides and top, so it looks very immersive. You may need an adapter for HDMI, though.

Finally, if you want an ultrawide solution and more than one monitor, this is for you. This Samsung J791 curved monitor gives you ultrawide Quad HD resolution, a stunning QLED panel with 125% of sRGB, and a 100Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync. Plus, it's a Thunderbolt monitor with daisy-chaining support, so you can connect another monitor.
Those are enough options to satisfy just about anyone’s needs. No matter what kind of user you are, there’s a great monitor here to complement your Spectre x360. Personally speaking, I’d want an ultrawide monitor, as that extra space would be really helpful for work. Windows 11 has some big improvements for multitasking, so an ultrawide monitor can be just as good as having two screens. Out of those, the Samsung J791 monitor is definitely the most suited to take full advantage of the Thunderbolt ports in the Spectre x360.
If you haven’t bought a Spectre x360 yet, you can do so using the links below. While we said at the top that there are various size variants of the Spectre x360, it looks like the 13, 14, and 15 models have been discontinued, as they’ve been pulled from HP’s website (the 14 is still listed, but unavailable). It’s possible that HP is planning to refresh them soon with Intel Alder Lake processors, which were recently announced. You can still buy the Spectre x360 14 below, as well as the more powerful 16-inch model, which has 35W processors and dedicated graphics. This is one of HP’s best laptops, and its 5MP webcam also supports Windows Hello.
